I’m very sure by now you already know that your body needs energy throughout the day. It doesn’t matter whether you’re working in the office, working out in the gym, driving or even sleeping.
If you think otherwise, then it’s time to get things right.
You body needs the energy, and these energy come from what you’ve eaten or, if you’re starving then it will come from your fats storage.
If you ate too little, you’ll be starving. If you ate too much, you’ll slowly put on weight. Complicated stuffs, isn’t it?
Now, here comes the million dollar question that everyone who is curious about.
Do you know how MUCH you should eat so that your body has enough energy to keep you going for the whole day?
Don’t worry if you don’t know. I’ll show you how you can easily find out how much calories you need everyday.
I need about 1900 calories for myself. That’s the minimum amount of calories that I’ll need everyday. Even if I’m sleeping and slacking on the bed all day long, my body still burn 1900 calories. If I’m just a little more active, my body will definitely need more calories then.
There’s a word for this minimum-amount-of-calorie-needed-daily. It’s called your Basal Metabolic rate.
So, what’s your Basal Metabolic Rate then? How do you find out?
There is an on1ine calculator which you can calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate. Just enter your gender, weight and height and it’ll do the rest for you. Pretty cool and easy stuffs, isn’t it?
Basal Metabolic Rate Calculator
REMEMBER, your body needs the calories calculated from your Basal Metabolic Rate everyday. You must feed your body wit the minimum amount of calories it needs so that it is properly fueled and keep you going for the day.
It sounds pretty simple and straight forward, but what amazes me is that the number of people who skipped this. One common example is people going on diet. When you go on diet, you are reducing the amount of calories taken and your body will go into starvation mode.
What starvation mode means is that your body is not burning as much calories as it will usually do. And this will eventually bring down your Basal Metabolic Rate which will then lead to a lot other negative consequences, like bad mood swings.
You don’t want to go into starvation mode. It’s not healthy living.
Now, that’s the very important advice I have for you today.
