Losing Weight With Drinking Water
For the entire month of June, I only allowed myself to drink water. Mineral water and boiled water. And that’s about it.
For the first week, I felt I was coping well. But when the second week came, I started to miss my tea and coffee sessions. The urge was just so strong and I had to resist and resist. Not forgetting also some sodas and fruit juices. Not that I love to drink them, but I do drink them occasionally.
Guess how I felt about my body during this 4 weeks?
I felt great.
I felt healthier.
I lost some weight in the process as well!
Do you know why drinking water would encourage you to lose weight? If you’re looking to lose 30 pounds or more, you won’t achieve that by just drinking water and doing nothing else. But if you’re looking at 5-10 pounds, then this will help.
When you drink lots of water, it makes you feel full, therefore reducing your urge to eat. You might be wondering how much water you should drink everyday.
Here’s a rough guidelines how much water you should drink everyday. Take your weight in pounds, divide it into 2. That’s the amount of water in ounces your need to drink. But remember, 20% of the water comes from the foods you consume - fruits, soups, etc.
So, reduce 20% from the figure you’ve calculated. That’s the amount of water you should drink.
But hey! That’s only a guideline for you to have some idea about the amount of water you shoul drink. You don’t need to follow it if you’re not comfortable.
Another advantage about water is that it is non caloric and it’s essential for propery body chemistry and functioning.
Now, that’s how important and helpful water is!
Maybe you should try drinking only water and see how your body felt? If 4 weeks is too long, you can start with 1 or 2 weeks and see how you cope with the differences.
